Home Hospital
The Home/Hospital Teaching program provides continuing instruction for students who, for health reasons, are unable to attend school for four weeks or longer. Students receive instructional support in the home, hospital, or other public setting to maintain academic progress during the temporary absence from school.
Teaching must be authorized by the student’s physician.
The state guidelines allow a minimum of four weeks of teaching and a maximum of 18 weeks.
Services are only available during the school year.
It is the responsibility of the student, under a parent’s guidance, to complete assignments and homework in a timely manner.
