By joining, students learn more about careers, post-high school education, and training opportunities. They develop leadership skills that will prepare them for work and can test their skills in local, state and national competitions. 

Many of our student leadership opportunities are nationally affiliated organizations such as:

  • DECA: prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe

  • FFA: providing a path to achievement in premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

  • FCCLA: helps students and teachers focus on various youth concerns, including parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation

  • HOSA: empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience

  • SkillsUSA: proud champion of the skilled trades which empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members.

  • TSA: develop skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic (STEM) and business education

  • WCTSMA: introduce students to a variety of sports medicine professions

  • CyberPatriot: inspire students towards careers in cybersecurity or other science. technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future

  • FIRST Robotics: combining the excitement of sport with rigors of science and technology. Students are challenged to build and program industrial-size robots

  • ProStart: from culinary techniques to management skills, Prostart industry-driven program provides real-life experience opportunities

Additional student organizations focused on technology, biomedicine, and technical arts, have been created at middle and high schools due to interest by groups of CTE students.
