Social Emotional Learning

Social Emotional Learning is broadly understood as a process through which individuals build awareness and skills in managing emotions, setting goals, establishing relationships, and making responsible decisions that support success in school and in life. To educate the whole child, social and emotional development must be considered as a part of overall instruction.

  • Curriculum: As of the 2020-21 school year, all secondary schools are using the adopted curriculum, CharacterStrong. All elementary schools are using a version of this curriculum called PurposeFull People.
