Appmageddon

TCS students got a taste of the Silicon Valley life recently when they pitched new mobile phone apps to local digital marketing pros.

Seventeen groups had to design, create and present their apps to panelists from Seven2, who picked the top four apps to "invest" in. It was a chance for students to explore the purpose of apps while honing their collaborations and presentation skills.

The top apps were:

• Fluffy Buddy - gives those in unstable environments a virtual animal to care for
• Debateabubble - provides an open environment for educated debates
• Write Now - a motivational writing app to help you ... write
• Self-Help Buddies - take care of a virtual pet that also gives you mental health advice.
