After fielding two middle school football teams in fall of 2024, Spokane Public Schools will expand to five teams for the fall 2025 season.

Teams will be made up of 7th and 8th graders who will attend the same high school. That means these middle schools will join and form a team:

  • Shaw and Garry: Rogers Feeder Team

  • Glover and Yasuhara: North Central Feeder Team

  • Salk and Flett: Shadle Park Feeder Team

  • Chase and Peperzak*: Ferris Feeder Team

  • Sacajawea and Peperzak*: Lewis & Clark Feeder Team

*As Peperzak Middle School feeds both Ferris and Lewis & Clark, students will be placed on the team determined by their home address and future high school assignment.

Parents can register for the fall 2025 season using FinalForms, the district's registration service for secondary sports. When signing up, parents need to estimate their student's anticipated size so SPS can order the proper equipment.

Over the summer, SPS will hire coaches with the assistance of our current high school coaches, who will also help lead safety training. More details will be ironed out this summer, and the district will aim to arrange for some games to be played at ONE Spokane Stadium, which was a highlight of the season last year:

Last fall, SPS debuted its tackle football program with two teams: the Rogers and North Central feeder teams. The endeavor was wildly successful, giving kids an opportunity to engage in real life activities after school with their friends and peers, and preparing them properly for high school football:
