Last night, community members from Central Spokane gathered at North Central High School for a presentation about Together Spokane, an initiative to improve schools, parks and neighborhoods throughout the city.
Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Parks and Recreation representatives discussed the planning and outreach process to develop proposals, how working together and with community partners reduces project costs, and encouraged attendees to look through the list of more than 200 projects to consider if it’s worth the investment or would save their family money through expanded access.
Watch the recording to learn more about a modernization of NorthCentral High School with all-weather lighted fields, an Indoor Aquatics Center, a new Trades High School, exhibition expansion opportunities at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture, and much more.
We are holding two more presentations in different regions of the city. Presentations will focus on projects proposed within these neighborhoods. All are welcome to attend any town hall that fits their schedule.
