North Central students greet visitors for a candidate forum for Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors and Spokane City Council.

On Wednesday, North Central High School’s Civic Engagement Club hosted a forum with candidates currently seeking election to Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors and Spokane City Council.

The event was organized and moderated by students, and attendees filled out mock ballots after hearing candidates’ responses. What a cool way for students to learn about and participate in the electoral process — even if they aren’t old enough to vote just yet. Way to go, Wolfpack!
