This year, John R. Rogers High School and Stevens Elementary received Schools on the Rise Award from the Association of Washington Student Leaders and Association of Washington School Principals!
Stevens and Rogers were among 42 Washington schools to receive this award celebrating schools that foster inclusive and equitable environments. ASWP Associate Director Scott Friedman recently presented the schools with an award banner to celebrate this achievement.
Introduced in 2023-24, the “Washington Schools on the Rise” award by AWSL/AWSP celebrates schools where students and adults collaborate to improve culture and amplify student voice.
