From signing up for beginning theater as a shy freshman to becoming an essential part of the costume crew, Lewis & Clark High School senior Styx Slizza has found more than just a hobby in theater, she's found a community.
Over the past four years, Styx has worked behind the scenes pulling costumes, sewing and stitching repairs, and steaming out wrinkles to help bring each production to life. Her confidence has grown, and she’s found a welcoming, supportive community with her Tiger Drama peers.
"It's a really nice way to meet incredible, talented, super nice people who have similar interests to you," Styx reflects. "That's a really wonderful thing—to meet someone with similar interests you can look up to and who will encourage you."
Styx is the wardrobe crew lead on LC’s upcoming production of “White Christmas: The Musical.”
