Art is Hudson’s thing, drawing and crafting and expressing himself though his creations. It was a special day when his schoolmates at Westview recognized the 4th grader’s talent and chose his design for their school t-shirt contest.
“It feels very rewarding, knowing how many kids I made happy and how hard I worked on this," Hudson said.
All Westview students received a shirt with Hudson’s Wildcat design, thanks to a Spokane Public Schools Foundation grant.
"Hudson has overcome a lot over the last several years, and his teacher has worked incredibly hard to help his artistic skills flourish this year," shared Principal Assistant Morgan Galle.
Hear from his grandparents Pat and Dan Deardorff about how much time (and materials) Hudson devotes to his art, and his teacher Julie Calkins about what a special addition Hudson is to her class.
