Rogers students learn language and composition from a teacher

Sit in on an AP Language and Composition class at Rogers High School where you can see that rhetoric isn’t just for Greek philosophers … it’s also for high-profile celebrities who need to apologize for a faux pas.

Teacher Katherine Charters uses real examples to help students learn persuasive, effective communication techniques while developing their critical thinking skills.

"I'm never telling them what to think, but mainly teaching them how to think about things,” she shared.


Students completing this course can qualify for college credit, either as a College in the High School (CiHS) program or with a College Board Advanced Placement exam with a score of 3 or higher. Learn more about Dual Credit opportunities.
