NEWTech Prep student Maksim takes us on a tour of all the hands-on activities students could try out at ABC Trades Night last week.
Nearly 600 attendees visited with dozens of local contractors to try out welding, concrete mixing, heavy machinery operation and much more at this annual event hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors Inland Pacific Chapter. The interactive experience allows students of all ages, as well as adults interested in trades careers, to learn about training and workforce opportunities.
NEWTech Prep Culinary Arts students also served delicious appetizers and desserts as visitors received free shirts and participated in safety training before picking up drills, hammers, and torches.
NEWTech Prep is a regional career and technical education partnership serving juniors and seniors from 12 consortium-member school districts.
