Planning for the new Madison Elementary is underway, with fifth grade students helping shape what's in store for their younger peers.
Just before Fall Break, Madison ASB officers met with reps from Integrus Architecture to discuss ideas for the new school. Students chose photos and illustrations that showed what they'd most like to see in a new space to share with designers and planners. Madison’s parent and staff design advisory teams are also sharing their priorities as the process moves ahead.
The new Madison will be built by Lydig Construction adjacent to Franklin Park as part of Together Spokane, a partnership between Spokane Public Schools and Spokane Parks & Recreation. The project will bring together a new elementary school, Boys & Girls Club programming and a publicly accessible, multi-use recreation facility designed to serve students and the broader community.
