Discovery Saturdays

Discovery Saturday is our monthly program for children from pre-K to 5th grade who are impacted by autism, rare disorders, or other developmental delays - diagnosed or not. We provide a safe, welcoming space where kids can explore fun, themed activities while parents connect with a supportive community. Parents are required to stay on-site if their child is under 13 years old. $5 per session or $30 for an annual membership.

P2P Support Groups — The Arc of Spokane

The Arc of Spokane and Parent to Parent (P2P) provide support groups for parents and caregivers of loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and healthcare needs.

This is an opportunity for moms & dads to get out and meet other parents who have children touched by special needs. There is no rigid structure to this group. Rather, its a casual opportunity for parents to relax while getting to know other parents.

Parenting Classes at Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery

FREE PARENTING CLASSES!

Circle of Security teaches parents a simple model for a secure, emotionally regulated relationship between parents and their children. Through short video instruction and discussion, parents explore the foundations of secure attachment, where they might struggle with supporting healthy relationship, and how to reflect on and change those struggles. Participants will attend 10.5 hours of instruction and receive a certificate of completion.

Vanessa Behan offers times when parents can bring their children to enjoy our beautiful Stay, Play & Learn space together. Come and engage with your child in a safe environment and meet other parents while you enjoy activities directed by our experienced staff.
