Ferris High School Athletic Director Ryan Eucker has announced the hiring of Allie Parnell as the next Head Coach of the Ferris Girls Basketball program.
Parnell brings experience in high school, club, and youth basketball, along with a strong background in athlete development, leadership, and program management. Most recently, she served as General Manager, Basketball Program Director, and 16U Girls Head Coach at ITZ Sports Performance in Spokane Valley. Her coaching experience also includes leadership roles at Kiona-Benton High School, Boulder Creek High School in Arizona, TruElite Basketball Academy, and Hoop Code Academy, where she worked with athletes ranging from youth basketball players to varsity-level competitors.
A former student-athlete at Spokane Falls Community College and Richland High School, Parnell's coaching philosophy centers on developing the complete athlete through skill development, leadership, accountability, and mental toughness. Her vision for Ferris Girls Basketball emphasizes building confident, resilient young women while creating a culture rooted in relationships, commitment, and continuous growth.
"Coach Parnell impressed us with her passion for developing student-athletes, her organizational approach, and her clear vision for building a successful program," said Eucker. "Her commitment to accountability, leadership, and personal growth aligns closely with our Ferris values and the culture we are working to build throughout Saxon Athletics."
Parnell's program philosophy closely reflects Ferris High School's commitment to developing students both on and off the court.
"I am honored to join the Ferris community and lead this program," said Parnell. "My goal is to build a culture that helps our athletes grow as competitors, teammates, and young women while creating a program that our school and community can be proud of."
Parnell will begin working with returning players and families this summer as preparations begin for the 2026-27 season.
Please join Ferris Athletics in welcoming Coach Parnell to the Saxon family.
