From 7th to 12th grade every year, students explore and save their interests and graduation goals in their High School and Beyond Plans (HSBP). The HSBP helps students connect their goals and coursework with careers, the military, or college majors, supporting their preparation for a career of interest after high school.
This year, Spokane Public Schools is excited to participate in Washington’s statewide partnership with SchooLinks, an online career and college readiness platform that allows school staff and families to walk alongside a student during the HSBP process as they set annual goals, explore career pathways, and create an individualized academic and career plan.
Parent/Guardian Access in SchooLinks allows families to:
View the results of a student's survey about their career interests, strengths, and skills to learn more about what careers might be right for them
See what colleges and careers a student has favorited and set as goals
Check a personalized dashboard for upcoming events, important reminders, and HSBP to-dos for students
Complete research on colleges, trades, careers, and more for informed conversations with students
Compare college costs and explore expected financial aid, scholarships, and out-of-pocket expenses
Communicate directly with school counselors, teachers, and other staff to ensure students have the support they need during middle and high school
Information about parent/guardian login will be available after the start of the new school year. In the meantime, you may want to watch this video and read this document to learn more about creating an account.
We look forward to getting started as we work together on supporting students this year.
