North Central High School students Archer and Oo echoed that they want to play volleyball as an organized sport and hope more schools will create teams.
The Oregon School Activities Association added Boys Volleyball as an official high school spring sport last year. Johnson is hoping that Washington could be next.
The Pirates and Wolfpack will compete in two boys volleyball tournaments this spring with Shadle, Ferris and Lewis and Clark teams participating as well. Spectators are welcome at the games at Shadle Park High School on May 20 and June 3 at 4 p.m.
