NEWTech Prep hosted a pinning celebration on Thursday to honor students in health careers.
Nursing, medical assisting, pharmacy, dental, and surgical processing students were joined by families, friends, and staff to receive pins acknowledging their accomplishments. They also took part in a candle ceremony and recited the NEWTech Health Career Pledge:
“I pledge in the presence of this assembly…
To care for my patients with all the knowledge, skills and understanding that I possess, without regard to race, creed, politics or social status.
I will respect, at all times, the dignity and religious beliefs of patients under my care, and hold in the professional confidence all the personal information entrusted to me.
I will endeavor to keep my professional knowledge and skills at the highest level and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.”
