Daily Bulletin
Hello everyone –
today is Friday, May 29th – and lunch today is Chicken Egg Roll with Fried Rice.
We acknowledge that we are on the unceded lands of the Spokane Tribe. The Spokane people shared this place with other tribes through their relations, resources, history, trade, and ceremony. We thank the caretakers of this land, who lived, and continue to live here Since Time Immemorial. This land holds the knowledge, culture, and spirit of “The People of the River”.
Please rise and remove your hats for the pledge of allegiance. “I pledge allegiance..."
Hey Juniors! Please register for the Soon to Be Senior Night on June 2.
Colleges will be here to meet you! Don't miss out. Free Qdoba dinner & visit with colleges from 5:30pm - 6pm - and then a short presentation about what you need to get a jumpstart on your senior year. If you're in the concert that night, we'll get you out in time! Bring the family. Laptop and gift card raffle for all who attend.
VOTER REGISTRATION: Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors! Do you want to vote when you turn 18? You can get registered today or Monday in the Commons during both lunches. Meredith Staggs and volunteers from the League of Women Voters will be there to help you through the process. PLEASE REMEMBER you must be 16 years old or older, and you need either your last four digits of your Social Security or your driver’s license! WE HAVE CANDY for students who register!
Senior Prom is only 1 week away! The deadline to submit appeal forms is today at 2:30 PM, and late submissions will not be accepted. All students wishing to contest their eligibility for Senior Prom must ensure their forms are turned in by this time, as there will be no exceptions. Ticket sales end June 4th at 3pm and tickets will not be sold at the door. If you still need to purchase a ticket, visit the business office before or after school or during your lunch!
Today is the last day for EWU's Aspire Program - join us in the RFCC to celebrate.
Attention Girls Basketball players: There will be a meeting on Thursday, June 4, starting at 2:40pm in room N204 to introduce the new Girls Basketball staff and outline summer plans. If you are interested in participating in summer basketball and/or meeting the new coach, please plan on attending.
The moment you’ve been waiting for (besides summer vacation) has finally arrived…
YEARBOOKS ARE HERE!
Yes, that magical book filled with your best selfies, questionable hairstyles, and memories you may or may not remember is ready for pickup! If you ordered a yearbook, make your way to Room B163 right after school TODAY to claim your piece of history. Bring your student ID (or another valid form of ID) so we know it’s actually you and not your twin trying to steal your spotlight. Don’t wait too long—your yearbook is eager to be reunited with you… and honestly, it’s been talking about you all day. See you there!
A friendly reminder for everyone: Our dress code helps keep school safe, respectful, and focused on learning. Students and staff should wear clothing that provides appropriate coverage and does not include offensive or disruptive images or language. If there’s a concern, staff will address it respectfully and with minimal disruption. Our “no phone” policy is a district expectation. Phones and headphones may not be out or used during class time. Students may use phones during lunch and passing periods, but all devices must be put away once the bell rings. If a phone or headphones are out during class, teachers or staff will confiscate them. Items may be picked up in Student Services at the end of the school day. Thank you for helping keep our classrooms focused, respectful, and distraction-free.
That is it for our announcements. I’m a John R. Pirate full of spirit and pride, and I love to hold it down for Rogers High. Let’s make it a great day Pirates!
