We will be running a donation drive October 16th - October 24th. All donations go to our ASB which supports clubs, sports and extra curricular activities here at Salk.
We will be collecting monetary donations in the parking lot every morning before school beginning the 16th. Any money needing to be turned in if kids are late to school can be turned in to the business office. Also beginning on the 15th, you can use this link. You'll need your student's id number. Feel free to contact the office for this or if you need help logging in to donate.
Donations will be linked to students so we can track for prizes.
The top 10 donating students get to choose from our grand prizes which include headphones, projectors, Kindle tablets, Lion King tickets, Riverfront park winter passes, and lunch pizza parties.
Advisories will also be able to earn prizes. There are 3 ways that students can earn points for their advisories:
Bring in donations: Each dollar is a point.
Dress up for spirit days (17th - 24th): Each student is a point.
Run laps at the event on the 24th: Each lap is a point.

1st Place - Laser Maxx field trip
2nd Place - movie and pizza in the mat room
3rd Place - formal breakfast at Salk
All School Prizes:
$12,000: All school field day in the spring
$10,000: Winter celebration dance in December
$8,000: Costumes on Halloween (pending approval)
$6,000: Selfie stations at lunch
$5,000: 10 additional minutes of lunch time
$2,500: Cookies at lunch

Friday 17th - fictional character day
Monday 20th - dress a decade day
Tuesday 21st - twin day
Wednesday 22nd - crazy hair and socks day
Thursday 23rd - scary spirit colors: 6th orange, 7th black, 8th purple or gray
Friday 24th - athletic wear
