The Secondary Transition program was honored to participate in the 3rd Annual Regional Dance hosted by People First, and what an incredible experience it was! Students from across the region came together for a lively day filled with music, dancing, karaoke, and laughter.
Held in a warm and inclusive environment, the event provided a valuable opportunity for students to build and strengthen essential life skills; such as meeting new people, setting healthy relationship boundaries, and navigating high-energy social situations with confidence.
Throughout the day, students showed impressive growth, self-assurance, and meaningful connection. Experiences like this highlight the value of inclusive, community-based events that extend learning beyond the classroom.
A big thank-you to the People First Club for organizing such a powerful and purposeful celebration, and to all the incredible volunteers, staff, and attendees who made it possible. Special thanks to the Booster group for providing pizza, popcorn, and water to keep everyone energized!
This unforgettable day of joy, learning, and connection will be remembered for a long time. Excited to do it all again next year!
