On June 4, nine Secondary Transition students graduated from STEP—Secondary Transition Employment Program—in front of family, friends, staff, administrators and community partners.
This program is designed to support young adults ages (18-22) with significant cognitive and adaptive challenges as they build essential life skills and gain hands-on experience to foster greater independence, both in the community and the workforce, with a strong emphasis on vocational training, community inclusion, and life skills development.

"You’ve shown what’s possible when students are supported, encouraged, and believed in. You’ve navigated new experiences, taken on new challenges, and grown in so many ways. We are all so proud of you,” said School Board director Hilary Kozel during the celebration.
Students received their high school diploma, and certificates for Most Improved, Most Dedicated, and Employee of the Year were also awarded.
