SPS offers a wide array of educational options for approximately 29,000 students. Our 58 schools give kids a dream, access and opportunity for a successful future - no matter their life's circumstances.

New Families
If you are new to SPS, no matter your student's grade level, you must complete a New Student Registration Form. Before doing so, make sure your student is in compliance with our immunization requirements. You will also need proof of your student's age (birth certificate, passport, etc.), proof of address (a copy of a utility bill will suffice), and parent/guardian ID.
These documents may be uploaded during the registration process, and images are accepted.
You'll need to know your neighborhood-zoned school, which can be found here. New students will register for their neighborhood-zoned school, even if you plan on attending a different school. This helps both families and schools in the event that families' choice or option school is full.
Apply to an Option School or "Choice" to a Specific School
If you'd like to apply to one of our option schools or a school other than your neighborhood-zoned school, you will complete a Choice Application.
Note: If you are new to SPS, you must complete BOTH a New Student Registration Form and a Choice Application.
