Home Hospital and Homebound

  • Home/Hospital (H/H): Provided to students who are temporarily unable to attend school for an estimated period of four weeks and no more than 18 weeks because of a physical and/or mental disability or illness. The program does not provide tutoring to students caring for an infant or a relative who is ill.

Homebound Program: A homebound placement is appropriate for children who have a health or medical problem that prevents the child from attending school. The IEP team considers all information, including medical information provided by the student's medical doctor, with information about the student's needs. Students should return to school as soon as they are able.
