Coopersgiving Nov 12
Dear Cooper Families,
We hope this email finds you well. It has been a challenging past seven months and although we have stuck together, everything has been quite different. Through it all, we have been proud of our students, their engagement, their efforts and their achievements!
Now that it is November; the month of giving thanks, we would like to celebrate how thankful we are for each of your children. We have created a very special evening to do just that….Coopersgiving!
On Thursday, November 12 from 5-7 pm we are hosting a drive-thru/walk thru event in the Cooper Elementary parking lot. There will be several tents set up in the parking lot with special things for every Cooper student and your family. Whether you arrive by car or on foot, you will enter the parking lot from the north (Bridgeport) and cycle through the tents and then exit back to Bridgeport.
We have partnered with the Zone project and have created custom t-shirts for EVERY student at Cooper. These “Cooper Strong” t-shirts are something that we hope to have every student and staff member wear on each Friday for the remainder of the year. 2nd Harvest will be there with boxes of delicious food. Jump ropes will be distributed to every 4th, 5th and 6th grader by Mr. Philp. We will have winter hats and other items that you may need this winter. The Hoopfest Bus will be here with some promotional balls and cool Hoopfest gear. We will have virtual learning/technology tips for families as well as information on the College Bound Scholarship program. We will also have slices of pizza at the last booth before you leave! Everything above has been donated or is being provided by Cooper Elementary. 😊
In order to manage traffic and provide everyone a great experience, we are inviting folks at these times:
5:00-5:45 All Kindergarten and 1st graders (and their older siblings in other grades)
5:45-6:30 Grades 2-3 (and their older siblings in other grades)
6:30-7:00 Grades 4-6
So, make sure to mark it on your calendar. We look forward to seeing you at Cooper Elementary in the parking lot for Coopersgiving on Thursday, November 12th !!
