High School and Beyond Plan

  • The  High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP), is a graduation requirement.

All students must complete the following 4 steps:

1.) Career Interest Inventory (SchooLinks "Find Your Path") - 5-10 min

Complete your Find Your Path (Career Interest Inventory) in SchooLinks (~5-10 min)

*no e-mail submission is required for the item above.  It can be viewed online by NC.

2.) Goal Setting (Education, Career, Major, Military) in SchooLinks – 10 min

In SchooLinks - Click on Activities then select My Goals.

- Choose a goal for each of the four categories (not all are required depending on your future path - i.e. Military doesn't require a "Major Goal")

*no e-mail submission is required for the item above.  It can be viewed online by NC.

3) Choose ONE of the following options:

A.) FAFSA or WASFA successfully processed

Completing this step ensures you have access to financial aid (grants, scholarships, loans for your 2-year, 4-year college, or technical school).

While this is not "required" for military-interested students it is good to have completed just in case you change your plans - to keep all doors open.

B.) Evidence of Military Enlistment AND Budgeting Activity

*Send Military enlistment evidence to aaronb@spokaneschools.org (screen shot, confirmation e-mail, etc.).  Budgeting Activity completion will be submitted to aaronb@spokaneschools.org at the end of the activity.

C.) Profile/Resume (use SchooLinks to populate a Word Doc.) AND two completed job applications or a current paystub.

4) Formally complete your Personalized Plan in SchooLinks

NOTE: Personalized Plan is what SchooLinks calls the High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP).

*Some of your required steps might already be completed if you have already done the Find Your Path assessment before and if you had previously set your My Goals.
