Our School

  • The words “user friendly” best describe Jefferson’s outreach to students, families, and the larger community. Our open door policy invites not only parents but community members to visit classrooms and share our facilities and equipment. We encourage you to get involved in the PTG, enjoy a music program, volunteer in a classroom, become a menotr, sponsor a student in our fun run or have lunch with us!

A large cadre of parent and community helpers assists us in creating a learning environment which meets the needs of each Jefferson student. All Jefferson parents are members of the PTG, whose collective energy and leadership provide many extensions for children, including reading night and a community service project, Hearts and Hands. In each classroom and beyond to the publishing center, reading room, special events, health and P. E. screening, and tutoring sessions, PTG volunteers provide support for school activities. Our partnership with Albertson’s helps to link our work in education with the business community.

  • Jefferson Facility
Jefferson Elementary was constructed in 1908 with additions in 1910, 1948, 1955, and 1956. In 2013 we moved to our new building at the west end of Hart Field, where we continue the traditions from our original location. Stop in to see us!
