Jefferson Elementary is a great place to go to school, and that’s because our vast community has a proud history of working together to create the best environment for learning.
Parents are a vital piece of Jefferson’s success, supporting students and staff on a daily basis. We have an incredible Parent Teacher Group (PTG) that organizes fun and memorable events like the Family Glow Dance Party and our annual Fun Run. The group also makes sure teachers have supplemental funds to enhance instruction and assist students and families that need support. Our business neighbors figure in, too.
The staff at Jefferson is truly special. Our teachers are committed to providing the best educational experience possible for all students. Working as a cohesive group, the educators here collaborate, learn, share and support each other with the important work of instructing the young children of our community. Other staff members add to the picture of a supportive and caring school environment where students come first. It is common to hear parents praise staff members for going the extra mile for their children.
We strive to send students on to middle school with the academic, social, and leadership skills they need to be successful. Students who demonstrate these skills are showing Patriot PRIDE, five attributes that help us all do our best. PRIDE stands for attributes we look to cultivate in all of our scholars: Peaceful, Respectful, showing Integrity, Diligent and Empathetic.
When students and adults alike show Patriot PRIDE, we are sending the positive message that Jefferson is the excellent school we know it to be. Most importantly, our smiling scholars are excited about going to school and being the final piece of the Jefferson community puzzle. It just fits.
