Spokane Public Schools is grateful to have community partners to work alongside to bring extracurricular opportunities to elementary school kids.
Keeping kids active and involved has proven to improve academics, school attendance and social developments. Learn about opportunities for your elementary-aged student:

Hooptown Youth League
Grades K-6
Hooptown USA and Spokane Public Schools offers fall basketball for grades K-6. Kids practice and play games with their classmates at their neighborhood school gyms. Registration opens each fall, and there are reduced cost options available.

Active4Youth Cross Country
Grades K-5
Active4Youth and Spokane Public Schools offer cross country for kids in grades K-5 in the fall. Kids sign up through their feeder pattern, practice with their school and competes in two meets each fall with their fellow feeder pattern schools. The season culminates with the All-City meet in late October.
Registrations opens in late summer.

509 Spikers Volleyball
Grades 4-6
Pacific Northwest Qualifier (PNQ), a popular volleyball tournament each year in Spokane, teamed up with Spokane Public Schools to offer volleyball for boys and girls in grades 4-6.
Similar to the Hooptown Youth League, students are placed on neighborhood school teams and practice together weekly. Each week culminates in a jamboree, where teams play against each other in a fun environment.
Registration is currently open for the spring 2024 season. Register here by April 1.

90+ Project Youth Soccer
Grades 1-3
The 90+ Project is piloting a program with Spokane Public Schools to offer youth soccer clinics to kids at select schools in grades 1-3. These spring clinics are hosted in spring 2024 at:
- Adams Elementary
- Bryant/TEC (two groups)
- Finch Elementary
- Garfield Elementary
- Jefferson Elementary
- Libby Center
- Longfellow Elementary
- Ridgeview Elementary
- Scott Elementary
- Whitman Elementary
- Woodridge Elementary

Girls on the Run
Grades 3-5
Girls on the Run Spokane County joined Spokane Public Schools to offer after-school activities each spring at these schools:
- Arlington Elementary
- Finch Elementary
- Holmes Elementary
- Hutton Elementary
- Jefferson Elementary
- Linwood Elementary
- Logan Elementary
- Roosevelt Elementary
- Scott Elementary
