SPS Day Camp Information

  • Day Camp Update: To continue providing support for 5th and 6th grade students on their “off” days, Day Camp will be offered at three regional locations: Salk Middle School, Rogers High School and the former Jefferson Elementary School .

  • SPS Day Camp is available for district-enrolled students and children of SPS staff. Enrollment is closely managed to provide high levels of social distancing and strict adherence to safety protocols. Students will receive structure and routines that help them engage in their “off” day learning curriculum.

    • A completed registration may not guarantee entry. If, after registration is received, the billing staff notices that your requested site and program are already full, we will notify you as soon as we are aware. Students may not start Day Camp without a complete registration. This includes the online registration form, the COVID-19 waiver and the online signature form.
    • All locations will be subject to change due to COVID-19 protocols, current enrollment, and lowered capacities. In the event of a COVID exposure, the site may be closed for a two-week period.
  • Program Hours & Locations

    SPS secondary Day Camp will follow the 5th and 6th grade A/B model, will continue as long as enrollment is maintained, and 5th and 6th grade students are in their A/B Hybrid learning model. SPS Day Camp will follow the SPS 2020-21 school year schedule for days school is closed.

    Monday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

    Locations: Salk Middle School, Rogers High School and the former Jefferson Elementary School (opens Feb. 16)

  • Rates

    • Tuition is $25 per day, per child, with a 15% sibling discount. There will be no hourly rate. Scholarships may be available if permission is granted to view Free and Reduced-price lunch status.
  • Meals

    The USDA extended the Summer Food Service Program through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, for ALL children 18 and under. As such, breakfast and lunch will be provided during this time for our program.

  • COVID Program Adaptions

    • All locations will be subject to change due to COVID-19 protocols, current enrollment, and lowered capacities. In the event of a COVID exposure, the site may be closed for a two-week period.
    • Children must be potty-trained, able to maintain social distancing in a group setting, be able to follow the directions independently and adhere to program rules and expectations to participate in the program.
    • A statewide order requires individuals to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces (reusable cloth is recommended). Face coverings are required to participate in the program.
