At Shadle Park, the coaches want to develop more than solid football players. We strive to create a culture of high expectations combined with high levels of support in order to accomplish both team and individual goals.
"Committed to the Cause"
As we embark on the 2018 season, coaches and players have all voiced a need to increase the commitment level on and off the field! We all share the vision that GREATNESS is earned only through focused, dedicated work!
Show your commitment during the off-season:
1) Be a regular in the weight-room or for workouts -- you have to earn
2) Strive to daily excellence in your classes!
3) Encourage your teammates to be involved in positive activities both at school and in the community!
4) Stay informed!
5) Invest your time in competitive activities such as winter & spring sports
Teach players the positive growth mindset of the program and establish safe, winning fundamental techniques
Prepare the players, both mentally and physically, for varsity football. Winning games is a bonus and is something we hope to do, but this is and will never be the emphasis.
The largest difference between a Freshman and a Varsity player is their aggressiveness, athleticism, and understanding of the game of football and/or individual responsibilities when on the field.
The focus of Freshman football is to overcome these shortcomings and develop players that are ready for Varsity.
