COVID Letter to Families

With the onset of cold and flu season, along with the COVID pandemic, we need your help in keeping everyone safe.

 If your child has been exposed to COVID-19, they must stay home until you have spoken with the school nurse.

If your child has any of the following symptoms, please keep them home:

  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever of 100.4 or higher or a sense of having a fever
  • Sore Throat
  • Chills
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Nausea/ vomiting/ diarrhea
  • Congestion/ runny nose
  • Unusual fatigue
  • Headache

What to do if your child will be absent from school:

  • Please call the attendance line at 354-6685 (24 hours a day).
  • Please leave your name and your student’s full name and phone number.
  • Report the symptoms your child is experiencing.
  • Indicate which of the options below you would like to choose for your student’s return to school.

Per Spokane Regional Health District guidelines, you may choose one of the following options to expedite your child’s return to school:

  • a doctor’s note with a diagnosis other than COVID, or
  • a negative PCR COVID test (not a rapid antigen test) or

Otherwise, the student should remain at home for 10 days from the onset of symptoms.

We encourage all families to provide their students with their own masks.
