    Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: Every year, the CCS Foundation provides over 400 major scholarships for tuition and books, as well as hundreds of smaller awards to help with testing costs, program fees and emergency needs. Once you have completed the application, you’ll be entered in our general scholarship pool to be considered for those scholarships open to all CCS students. You’ll also be alerted to additional scholarship opportunities which you may qualify for based on the responses you provided.

     Washington State Opportunity Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: Students planning to major in approved STEM focused fields are invited to apply. This is a huge WA scholarship program with 1500+ scholarships awarded each year. Up to $22,500 in scholarship money over 5 years of college is awarded. To see eligibility criteria and apply go to site.



    WSECU - WA State Employees Credit Union

    If you are planning to continue your education at either a 2 year, 4 year or vocational school, you could be a good fit for this scholarship. Must either be a WSECU member, or join at

    WA State Governors Scholarship for foster youth

    DESCRIPTION: This scholarship helps young men and women who have been in foster care pursue college. 40-50 scholarships awarded each year ranging from $2,000 - $4,000.

    College Success Foundation Leadership 1000 Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: If you are in the Ferris CSF Achievers college prep program, and you have a 2.75 cumulative GPA, you are eligible to apply.

    Vorpahl Wing Charities Scholarship

    Students hoping to continue advancing in STEM, Sports, Arts, or Entrepreneurship Education should check out this scholarship.

    Washington State School Retiree Association Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: Eight WSSR-Foundation Scholarships – a one-time scholarship of $2500 each Sixteen Robert J. Handy Scholarships – $900 each for up to four years One Neil D. Prescott Scholarship – a one-time scholarship of $2500.

    The Washington State School Retirees’ Association (WSSRA) invites senior students of your school who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to apply for the above scholarships. These awards are given to students who wish to have a career in the “field of education”. Their degree could be in one of these majors: teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or psychologist.

    PNACAC Student Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: 10 $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students entering college in Fall 2020. Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. To apply you will upload a video of no more than 1 minute in length responding to one of two prompts.

    BECU Foundation Scholarship

    Must be a BECU member to apply. If you have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and embody the "people helping people philosophy" look into this scholarship.

    Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION:  The Kelly Foundation of Washington is offering $2,500 awards for its scholarship program, the Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship.  This award is named in honor of Ewing C. Kelly, a longtime radio and television broadcaster. The Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship is designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals.  Applicants will be judged on their academic merit, extra-curricular achievements–both scholastically and in their community–and financial need.

    Eligibility:  1) Applicant must be accepted, or have an application pending, at an accredited institution of higher learning, public or private and including community colleges; 2) must be a senior-level student at a public or private high school (or home school); 3) must have a composite score of 20 on the ACT or a composite score of 1030 on the recently revised SAT if planning to attend a 4-year school (no test scores required for 2-year school); 4) must be a U.S. citizen or have a green card.

    Morrison - Maierle 75th Anniversary Scholarship

    In recognition of 75 years of business, Morrison - Maierle is offering $750 scholarships to student in cities where there is an office. Must be attending college full time after graduation.

    Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity Scholarship

    Video scholarship option and essay scholarship option. Both require 3.0 GPA or higher.

    2020 WIAA Smart Choices Scholarship

    WIAA annually recognizes graduating senior student athletes who excel in athletics/activities, academics, leadership, and community service.

    Pay it Forward Scholarship

    This scholarship was created to encourage students to do something good for someone else. We want to hear about the good deeds!

    WSPE Engineering Scholarship 

    DESCRIPTION: Awarded to Spokane area students entering any ABET accredited engineering college in the fall of 2019 who are interested in science or engineering. Students must meet minimum SAT score levels, 600 Math and 580 Critical Reading and Writing.


    DEADLINE: May 1, 2020

     Asian Pacific Islander – APIA Scholarship Program

    Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students:

    • Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
    • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply
    • Be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2020.
    • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED
    • Must apply for federal financial aid for the 2020-2021 academic year using the Free Application for the Federal Student Aid (FASFA) by early April 2020
    • Submit one letter of recommendation online

     InspireASIAN Scholarship

    Applicants must meet ALL of the following eligibility requirements:

    • Full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing (minimum unweighted cumulative GPA 3.40 on 4-point scale), of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited college or university (2-year and 4-year) in Fall 2019.
    • Citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
    • Residents of one of the following states or metropolitan area where we currently have InspirASIAN chapters: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area (Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).

    Cancer Unwrapped Teen Writing contest

    The goal of the Cancer Unwrapped Teen Writing contest is to open a dialogue with teens about the emotions they have felt when dealing with cancer. Essays can be about student's own experience of a personal diagnosis or about their experience wtih the diagnosis of a loved one, schoolmate, or friend. Open to teens in grades 9-12. $1,000 cash prize.

    Innovia Foundation

    This foundation (formerly Inland NW Community Foundation) manages several scholarships open to Eastern WA students. Check out the Lucille Hudon, Mark and Kay Burkett, Rika Ream, and Ren Rice scholarships. Application portal opens first week in December.

    Catholic College Admission Association

    DESCRIPTION: Have you been accepted to a catholic college? Check HERE for list of eligible schools. This is an EASY application and winners are randomly drawn. 2 winners from each of 8 regions. Opens early February. $1,000 award.

    CCD Law Spokane Community Law Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: 3.0 cumulative GPA required. Submit an essay of approximately 500 words in the form below telling us “How Could You Solve the Texting and Driving Epidemic?” We work with many car accident victims and personal injury cases here, and all too many accidents are caused by texting and driving. What is the best way to keep drivers’ eyes on the road?

    Distracted Driving Scholarship

    DESCRIPTION: Premier Law Group would like to offer a $1,000 scholarship to the person who best exemplifies the dangers of driving while distracted. Applicant will need to put together an infographic or vlog talking about or showing the dangers of distracted driving among teenagers.
