Dear Riverhawks:

Our mission is to create a gathering place where all are seen and empowered to be dreamers, ambitious learners, and involved global citizens. One way we try to support students and get to know them is to provide extra-curricular opportunities for them to connect with new students and adults and find success and maybe a new area of interest. Flett was recently highlighted during a recent board meeting due to the plethora of after school activities our staff and community have been offering. A huge thanks to staff, parents, and community members for helping support these opportunities.

Recent or current Flett Clubs and Activities: Drill Team, Art Club, Makers & Creators, LEGO League Robotics, Origami, Pokémon and more! Salish Culture and Gaming club are coming up in the new year among many others. Interested in leading a club!?

ASB fully launched this year providing students with leadership opportunities and an increased voice in all things Flett. Our officers and council have been meeting regularly to plan and get input from our representatives.

PTO – A small group of awesome parents have been working to officially launch our Parent Teacher Organization. Last year we had a parent council which provided feedback to school leadership. Our PTO will increase parent involvement and voice. Stay tuned for more information. If you’d like to volunteer, we have a few opportunities coming up later this year. One is on 2/16 at our annual Flett Fun Fest. Sign up information will be coming right after the holiday break. We’ll also need some volunteers for our 2^nd annual Riverhawks SERVE Day on 4/19 so put in for time off now! 😉. What is SERVE Day? This day involves everyone in the Flett community setting aside a day to give back to our community. We’ll have need for parent chaperones to attend field trips and help with service activities that day.
