We are so excited to offer a BRAND NEW class this year, piano lab!
This class covers the basics of playing piano and reading standard notation. The class will teach you how to read piano sheet music, notate your own music (compose a song!), understand basic music theory concepts, and play with different techniques. This class is meant to be an introductory class for students who have not formally played the insturment before.
This class is a GREAT fit for:
- People who can play some songs by ear on the piano, but cannot read sheet music
- Have never played any instrument before
- Play another instrument, but want to learn piano
This class is not made for:
- People who have taken private piano lessons or another type of piano class
- Can already play the piano well AND can read sheet music
Remember, learning to play music is like learning another language! It takes a lot of hard work and dedication in class. If you have trouble keeping yourself on task or focusing, then this class might be a little difficult for you.
